FOURTEEN-year-old Jason Nicholls has been bashed, abused, had a hand broken in three places and has been thrown out of a schoolroom window, just because he is different.

So bad has the bullying at Palm Beach Currumbin High become, Jason has now written a letter to his schoolmates pleading for understanding.

The teenager suffers from Asperger's syndrome, which has left him with impaired social interaction and communication skills. He has a normal IQ.

The sickening attacks have become increasingly worse, with the school's answer being to send Jason home early from class and make him eat lunch away from the other kids so he is not picked on.

bullying sometimes made him too frightened to go to school.
