A 21 year old bricklayer from Victoria has started bullying on Big Brother. Rory was shown on the Channel 10's daily coverage telling another housemate Travis, that he was girlie, looked gay and wasn't a man.
"I can't see any bloke wearing those glasses." Rory says about Travis' heart shaped sungalsses "You look like a girl or a gay." continues Rory, the homophobic housemate, who also doesn't want to "sleep next to any blokes."
Already he has spent his time bullying Travis and accusing him of being gay because he is flamboyant and has a high voice.
His Big Brother profile says:

This type of behaviour is considered bullying, Travis should not have to defend himself for being himself. Rory does not understand Travis and so is bullying him.

I'm so glad that someone has finally drawn attention to this point. I find it incredibly bizarre that something as trivial as someone's voice is a) some kind of marker of sexuality, and b) an inexusable reason for bullying another person. My flatmates watch the show and seem completely oblivious to the fact that they're verbally sympathising with bullies like Travis. In fact, if you watch almost ANY scene where the BB blokes are grouped together chatting, Travis is in some way excluded from the group (whether it be direct comments, or the facial expressions/looks the male housemates give each other when Travis speaks).
